- Finish reading your IR novel (and writing your chapter summaries). Approach Paper #1 should be submitted to Canvas by Monday at 9:00 am. Summaries will be submitted along with the approach papers. You will begin reading your next IR novel as soon as you finish this novel and paper. We don't go back to the Media Center until 10/9 so you will need to get another on your own (Approach Paper #2 is due 10/16) **If you need a link to Canvas, since I do not have one yet, you can go to Mrs. Joreid's homepage and follow the link she has under her video.

Read chapters 7-10 of Frankenstein and complete the post reading activities for these chapters. You will want to review the vocabulary prior to reading. The discussion questions for these chapters can be found in a separate document posted at the top of the Frankenstein page, next to the introduction PowerPoints, and under the reading schedule. You will also create one additional question, record a connection and write a character letter. We will read chapters 11-13 Monday, so bring earbuds if you want to use the audio. You have every resource you could need, so no excuses.
P.S. Next week is Red Ribbon Week. Monday is "Put a Cap on Drugs," so you can wear your favorite hat.

The Mock Trials (planning) begin Wednesday (11/4). There is an assignment setup on Canvas for you to provide an argument for the role you would like to play during the two mock trials (for Victor and for his creature). Read the directions before submitting). I will need these by the end of the day Monday. If you have no preference, you do not have to submit anything through Canvas.

Finish reading Frankenstein tonight. You are ONLY required to create one discussion question for chapter 24. You will be given a study guide, so there are no discussion questions for this chapter that need to be answered.

- We will hold the creature's trial tomorrow. Be sure you have gone over everything you have prepared (your part) as well as the script that I have provided (as a PDF). We will follow this script.
- The documents from your Frankenstein folder will be submitted to Canvas by Friday.
- You will also need to finish your Frankenstein study guide by Monday. (The test is Monday.) The study guide can be used, but it will then need to be submitted through Canvas.
