Book Club Guidelines and Procedures:
- There will be a rotation of jobs every day (every 2 days at most)
- All members at to be prepared (have read assigned chapters and have written summary) in order to participate in group's discussion. Members who are not prepared will work individually (on their assigned jobs) for the day. If a member is continuously unprepared he/she will be permanently removed from the group and will complete all jobs individually.
- When I check your group's folders I should see record of the job you (individually) were assigned, as well as written record of the discussion that followed (all members). I want to know who shared what in the discussion. If a page is incomplete or lacking because a member was absent or unprepared, then that should be recorded because everything in the folder will contribute to the group's grade. If a member is negatively affecting the group's progress, that may be taken into consideration if that information is shared in a timely manner. (Remember: With Google Docs I can see when, how and by whom information is included, amended and/or deleted).
- Your chapter summaries will be collected and will serve as an individual grade.
